4 Beauty Products I Regret Buying

Have I ever mentioned just how much I love taking trips to beauty stores? It’s like Christmas day, except for the fact that I’m buying myself gifts. The only thing that can sour this magical event is getting home and un-wrapping my gift to find a toy that just doesn’t work right. I’m sure you’ve also encountered this once or twice and that’s why I wanted to write this post. Before I give up hope on these products, I wanted to reach out to you guys and get your opinion. President’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and Leap Year month are what comes to mind when thinking of February. But for me, there is another special event. My birthday! This year we are heading back to Miami for a fun-filled (and hopefully relaxing) weekend in South Beach. I’m thrilled because I am in serious need of a vacation.

As a kickoff to my bday weekend I decided it would be fun to compile a birthday wishlist. While developing this list, my  Christmas Wish List  came to mind. Then, I thought – wait just one darn second, Santa Clause didn’t get me anything on that list! That sneaky little --. Anyways, after my initial shock I realized that may have been my fault. I guess that wishlist would have required Santa Clause to take out a loan on his toy factory. Okay, lesson learned. To increase my odds on gift receiving this time around, I made this wishlist a lot more practical and  based on things that are currently on my “things to buy when I run into some extra cash” list. I love that this wishlist includes both classic pieces that I can style a million different ways and trendy accessories to keep it updated and fresh. I’ll keep you posted if anything appears this weekend!

My Christmas Wishlist

Christmas is just around the corner! Mistletoe hung, twinkling holiday lights, and of course… opening gifts! I noticed this year my taste is a little more expensive than usual for Christmas gifts. Can Santa get layaway? He might need it for my wish list. But what fun is a wish list if you can’t get a little crazy?? It’s Christmas after all!

1. Side Split Sheer Maxi Skirt - Can you believe I don’t own a Maxi skirt?! I think that’s a sin for a fashion blogger. I love the sheer look. It’s sexy and looks great on petite women.

2. Red Cruiser Bike - I can already imagine the romantic bike ride on the beach. Can’t you just see a vintage dress with some bright red lipstick? Too cute!

3. Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation - This is pricier than my usual foundation but I heard it’s worth the money and I’ve been dying to try it.

4. Christian Louboutin Black Patent Leather Pumps - What girl doesn’t want a pair of Christian Louboutin heels? I want my first pair to be classic black.

5. Tacori Diamond Stud Earrings - A perfect match with my engagement and wedding rings!

6. Clarisonic – It cleans 6 times better than your hands alone! Enough said.
