Can you believe today is the official last day of summer? Say it isn’t so! It’s my favorite season, so it brings sadness to my heart. Luckily, I'm well prepared to deal with this temperature change -- I live in Florida. There you go, problem solved. Well, not really because Orlando dares to be too cold for comfort in the November and December months (Sheesh!). So, flip-flops and cute crop tops aren’t really an option at that point. But, I will do my best to keep the summer months alive in my heart, if I can’t in my wardrobe. Since I’m not ready to say good-bye, this post is dedicated to one of my favorite summer pieces. The crop top.
This crop top is from Valija Gitana (you might remember that I’m a fan of this boutique from this post). I couldn’t resist the texture of the top with the quilted look, just beautiful. Plus, it is oh-so-soft and perfect with a tank top or bathing suit. My first time wearing it was on my trip to Puerto Rico and I couldn’t resist also taking it to New York. Regardless of where I am, when I wear it I can still smell the coconut scented sunblock, hear the palm fronds bristling in the air, and see in the distance the cool, clear, blue waters. Now do you understand why I don’t want summer to end?
Are you looking forward to fall or already reminiscing about the summer?

Great summer outfit. November and December are my favorite months in FL! I'm totally ready to start wearing boots and tights. Bring on Fall!
ReplyDeleteHaha..well I DO love boots..
DeleteSummer is pretty much over in Chicago, we had freezing temps this weekend and the heat has been turned on.
ReplyDeleteWhat?! Already? I'm okay with a little bit of cold but a girl has to ease into it. They can't just shock my system like that! Hope you are staying warm!
DeleteSummer was fun - but now I am ready for layers, capes, knit tights and hot drinks in my cold hands. Now only if this weather would cooperate!
ReplyDeleteI love your top! So much fun.

Thanks! Knit tights does sound like fun! But Florida is so bizarre. It's too cold to wear your usual Florida clothes but it's not cold enough to invest in something fun like a cape. I'll have to work something out!
DeleteCute look! love the hat! I wish we had more heat here
ReplyDeletelove from San Francisco,

Already cold in San Fran too? Well at least you stylish ladies now how to work it!
DeleteI can't believe summer went by so quickly, then again, I live in Miami, so we can dress like it's summer for at least two more months!
