Runaway in Midnight Blue

Hello, My name is Iris. And I am an unabashed and hopeless romantic. So much so that I love attending weddings, witnessing two madly-in-love people commit their lives to each other. It’s a true-life love story, exactly what this dress brings to mind, which is why I wore it to a family wedding this weekend.

Have you ever been caught up in a black and white movie, glued to the screen as lovers dramatically find each other in the middle of the night and slip away together, forever? Well, this dress was made for that moment – the deep blue color of midnight, gems gathered at the shoulder twinkling like stars, the flowing cut that rustles in the wind. No doubt, if I was running away and into the arms of my love, this would be my costume choice.  And it was this weekend. As a special touch, I wore the jewelry from my own wedding, a nod to a chapter in my very own romantic novel.

P.S. I spotted a wedding guest sporting white. And she wasn’t even the bride!  Faux pas or fashion forward? What do you think?
